The new airport at Shimoga was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the airport constructed at Sogane, Shimoga at a cost of Rs 450 crore.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Kuvempu Airport in Shimoga, Prime Minister Modi said that this is not just an airport, it is a Udan Abhiyan. I have completed foundation laying for railway and road works. This has benefited the people of neighboring districts of Shimoga. He said that due to the double engine government, the speed of development of Karnataka has increased.
